With over two decades of distinguished law enforcement experience in a major North Texas municipality, Dr. Roger Ryan Rider brings a powerful blend of street-level insight, investigative precision, and academic excellence to every case he handles. As a retired Corporal and the founder of Triple R Investigations, Ryan has built a reputation for delivering court-ready results with integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
During his 23-year public safety career, Ryan served as a Detective, Traffic Officer, Community Resource Officer, and Patrol Corporal, culminating in his role as the city’s CRASH Coordinator. In that role, he secured federal grant funding to deploy 3D laser scanners across multiple agencies—launching what would become his passion for crash reconstruction, forensic 3D scanning, and immersive virtual scene documentation.
Now operating from New Braunfels, Texas, Ryan continues to provide expert private investigation services with a specialty in:
- Vehicular crash reconstruction
- Crime scene analysis using 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry
- Surveillance and background investigations
- Active shooter survival training as a certified ALIVE Instructor
He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University, where his dissertation evaluated augmented reality training for police de-escalation using the Kirkpatrick Model. His work bridges field experience with forensic technology, offering unmatched insight in both civil and criminal cases.
Ryan is also the host of The Virtual Reality Reconstructionist podcast and a trusted trainer for law enforcement, attorneys, and private organizations seeking the next level of investigative precision and public safety preparedness.
Outside the profession, Ryan is a devoted husband of over 35 years and father to one. He is committed to faith, family, and building safer communities through technology and truth.
