Michelle Havranek is a licensed Texas private investigator, Realtor®, educator, and retired law enforcement professional with more than 30 years of experience in criminal justice, investigations, corrections, leadership, training, and business development.
As the founder of Cipher Investigations, Michelle provides professional investigative services for attorneys, businesses, insurance companies, and private clients. Her work includes surveillance, background investigations, witness interviews, skip tracing, process service, and detailed case documentation while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards.
Prior to launching her investigative firm, Michelle held executive leadership positions overseeing secure juvenile correctional facilities in both Texas and Utah, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, leading hundreds of employees, and implementing trauma-informed programs. She also served as a Lieutenant with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and spent two decades with the Utah Department of Corrections, where she rose through the ranks as a correctional officer, sergeant, lieutenant, probation and parole agent, and ATF Project Safe Neighborhoods Task Force Officer investigating firearms-related crimes.
An accomplished educator, Michelle has taught criminal justice and investigative courses for more than 20 years as an adjunct professor and has trained thousands of students, law enforcement professionals, and motorcyclists. She holds a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration and numerous certifications in investigations, leadership, corrections, and public safety.
In addition to her investigative work, Michelle is a licensed Texas Realtor® with Century 21 Judge Fite, helping buyers and sellers navigate residential real estate transactions throughout Central Texas.
