Kevin S. Wyatt is a licensed private investigator and retired police detective with more than 29 years in law enforcement. In 2008 he founded EyesOn Private Investigations, a full-service, licensed and insured firm. He supervises about a dozen contract investigators and carries a caseload of 20 to 65 open matters at any time.
He started his career with the West Jordan Police Department in 1989 and was promoted to detective in 1995. He then spent ten years with the State of Utah as a senior investigator, first with the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and then with the Insurance Fraud Division. There he worked medical insurance fraud, drug diversion and pharmaceutical fraud cases alongside the FBI and DEA. He served on the FBI-sponsored Healthcare Fraud Task Force, held a Top Secret clearance and was a credentialed Special Deputy U.S. Marshal. He retired in 2018 as an Investigations Division detective with the Cottonwood Heights Police Department, where he had been named Officer of the Year in 2011.
Kevin has been a leader in the profession. He was elected president of the Private Investigators Association of Utah from 2015 to 2024, and the Governor appointed him to Utah’s Private Investigator Licensing Board and to its Security Service and Guards Licensing Board. He is a member of NALI, CII, WAD, NCISS and INTELENET. His practice covers insurance fraud, fire origin and cause, traffic reconstruction, family law, and intellectual property matters.
